Community Involvement

Showing up for our neighbors, on and off the clock

Our work doesn't stop at Medicare. As a family, we believe that being part of a community means showing up for it — in small ways and large ones. This page shares a few of the places we've spent our time and shown up in person over the past couple of years.

Rooted in the Same Values

The same principles that guide our work guide how we spend our time

We've always believed that faith, family, and service go hand in hand. That shows up in how we work with clients, and it shows up in how we spend our time outside the office — whether that's supporting a local cause, lending a hand after a natural disaster, or just showing up because a neighbor needed help. None of this is really separate from who we are; it's just an extension of it.

Alzheimer's Association Golf Tournament

We sponsored a tee box and the putting contest at a golf tournament benefiting the Alzheimer's Association. Small bit of fun to report: Gil ended up winning the putting contest.

June 12

Northwood High School Football Golf Tournament 

We sponsored a couple of holes at a golf tournament supporting Northwood High School football. Glad to help a program that means a lot to local families and student athletes.

Disaster Relief & Restoration

Lending a hand where it's needed, near and far

Asheville, NC (April 2025)

Marquee Arts Center Restoration

Our family traveled to Asheville to help with interior restoration work at the Marquee Arts Center, located in the city's art district. The building had sustained flood damage, and the water line was still visible on the walls during the work — a reminder of how much recovery there was still to do in the area.

Western North Carolina

Home Rebuild 

Our family also traveled to western North Carolina to help fully gut a home that had been damaged by rain and flood waters — removing everything down to the studs and hanging new sheetrock. What started as an uninhabitable house was, by the time we left, ready for a family to move back in.

Texas (October 2024)

Hurricane Beryl Cleanup

In October 2024, we traveled to Texas to help with cleanup efforts following the damage left by Hurricane Beryl. It was hands-on, unglamorous work — and we even crossed paths with a small but venomous snake along the way, which made for one of the more memorable moments of the trip.

Why We Do It

It's simply part of who we are

We're not sharing this to say we're the reason anything good happens in these communities — plenty of people and organizations do this work every day, often with far less recognition than they deserve. We just wanted to share a bit of what we've been part of, because it matters to us, and because it's part of the same values that shape how we treat our clients: showing up, doing the work, and caring about people beyond the transaction.
